Another vibrant and lovely washed Ethiopian coffee from Guji. We are constantly amazed at the longevity and the peak nature of coffee coming in from Ethiopia. More often than not, a washed Ethiopian coffee scores BETTER in our lab around 6 months in from it's initial shipment sample. It's a mystery that we are only beginning to understand as it seems very specific to Ethiopian coffee. Layo Taraga washing station is in Haro Wachu town in the Uraga District and is where most of the small holder producers in the area bring in their coffee cherry to be processed. This years crop is loaded with apricot and stone fruit flavors, along with jasmine florals and some great citric acidity. We've considered aging this coffee since it's the first of a long line-up this year, but it's a little too good not to share. Enjoy!
