Guatemala is quickly becoming one of our top three countries that we source from year to year. It seems to carry all the ingredients for a great cup no matter how far down the coffee rabbit hole you find yourself. From classically sweet offerings to insanely perfumed geishas, Guatemala has space for everyone and can usually take a variety of roasting styles. This particular offering from David Roberto Méndez Ruiz's eight-hectare farm, El Naranjo, boasts a solid backbone of dark chocolate with a raisin sweetness that instantly creates a nostalgia for raisinettes candy. It carries just enough citric-like acidity to make the whole thing light up and will be our daily drinker for the next few months without any hint of boredom. Enjoy!
