Our first Kenyan offering of 2020 is a powerful one. This coffee from the Kiandu Coffee Factory in Nyeri is simultaneously a chocolate and juice bomb. Because of our roasting style this coffee will favor the more fruit juice characteristics of grape and cherry but always in the background there will be some chocolate and indeed we may alter the roast profile to bring more of that out in the next coming weeks. We love these powerful, expressive cups as much as the more subtle ones because, even with these big flavors, the Kenya Kiandu is still a balanced cup that you'll want to keep drinking versus having an unbalanced but "interesting" cup of coffee.
