D.R. Congo has come a long way in coffee production. This particular lot came from SOPACDI in North Kivu of the Democratic Republic of Congo. SOPACDI helps bring some very remote areas of coffee production to mainstream markets by allowing smaller producers to deliver cherry to it's co-op wet mill. It currently has around 5600 coffee producing members. Light and refreshing, the D.R. Congo expresses notes of tangerine and raspberry with a pleasant almond taste sort of holding the other two tastes together. This is a fantastic daily drinker as we head into warmer months. Enjoy!
