Ecuador has always held a special place in our hearts here at Rose Park. It was our first origin trip, and the topography, people, and flavors created a benchmark that is hard to get away from when comparing other origins.  This particular lot has more of the “comforting” side of Ecuadorian coffee flavor notes, but still retains that essential mouth-feel that we love about coffees from this origin . Lots of orange blossom fragrance along with dried fruits, chocolate, and saltwater taffy solidify this as an everyday drinker whilst the Sidra varietal sits backstage and gives the cup a complex and slightly bitter finish that is reminiscent of a really nice amaro.

Fausto Romo, who owns the 6-hectare farm Finca Carolina, loves the Sidra varietal so much that he credits it with the thing that made him an everyday coffee drinker.
